A Hunkey Boy is Yankee Doodle- Barney Frank sees possible upside

In some surprising news, Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) an often vocal member of Congress, extended what many are interpreting as a preemptive gesture to the other side of the aisle. With a Republican win in the Massachusetts special election Senate race, Frank seemed to be conciliatory…something that has unnerved many. “If a Republican had to win the seat…Scott Brown isn't that bad.” He quickly added, “Coakley ran an admirable race.”

Frank was referring to Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley, who until a few weeks ago, was considered a lock to fill the late Senator Ted Kennedy’s seat in the deeply blue state. Brown, a conservative Republican who wasn’t considered a serious threat until recently, had surged in many polls. (read more)

Pat Robertson Issues Clarification on Haiti Comments - Devil Distancing Himself From Controversial Pastor

Feeling the heat from insensitive comments he made about the recent disaster in Haiti, Pat Robertson, televangelist and sometime go-between for both God and the devil, tried to quell some of the firestorm his comments have caused.

On his Christian Broadcasting Network, Rev .Robertson claimed that the poor island nation’s people were, “cursed”.  In other excerpts from his quotes, Dr. Robertson stated that, “They were under the heel of the French…and they got together and swore a pact to the devil.” (read more)
